On the Sunday evening before the congress there was a celebration outside the conference centre to welcome the cyclists, many of them people with Parkinson’s, who had ridden from all over Europe to get there. Parkinson’s UK Chair of Trustees Gary Shaughnessy was one of the 60-strong UK contingent. We also welcomed the amazing Neil Russell, who had run all the way from his home in England, a marathon every day for several weeks.
