We’re back from Barcelona
We seem to have found the right place
A group of Oxford Branch members travelled to Barcelona in July 2023 to attend the World Parkinson's Congress at the huge Convention Centre there.
The conference is enormous - around 3,000 people attending, 4 days of material, around 800 poster papers, over 40 round-table discussions, 8 parallel session tracks on most days… so it was completely impossible to take part in everything. We tried to see as much as we could, and we met up with lots of fascinating people.
Kevin is a WPC committee member so he was very heavily occupied with moderating various sessions and attending meetings. Sally was co-author of one of the posters, along with Gina Hadley and Gabe DeLuca from the John Radcliffe; Gina joined us on Thursday to present her poster alongside Sally. Last but not least, on the final day Paul presented an edition of his comedy show to an audience so packed that the event had to be moved to a larger room.
