Flu vaccination for people with Parkinson's and their carers
NHS England strongly recommends that you should get a flu vaccination before the winter if you are in any of these groups:
- over 65
- living with a long-term medical condition such as Parkinson's
- caring for an older or disabled person
Check out the materials on this page for more information.
We are urged to consider flu vaccination this winter. It's simple, safe and readily available. PwP and (in many cases) their carers or partners are eligible for free flu jabs.
Information from the NHS
You can find extensive, easy-to-follow information on the NHS website (links open in a new window):
- Comprehensive information on the vaccine itself
- Advice about flu jabs for people with long-term conditions such as Parkinson's
- 12-page leaflet (PDF document) answering common questions and concerns
Information from Carers UK
Carers should protect themselves against flu too. Carers UK have provided information with the concerns of carers in mind.
